102.3 KCUV donated more than 20 music instruments to Denver’s West High School Music Department on Monday, February 25 as part of its “Music For Schools” program. KCUV solicited instrument donations from listeners during the 2007 Holiday Season and collected 11 acoustic guitars, five saxophones, three trumpets and a number of other instruments and amplifiers.

Everyone is invited to Junior Jobsite, the brand new exhibit at the Children's Museum of Denver about the nuts and bolts of construction. Hard hats, blueprints, and safety vests will help you work safely at the construction site. The youngest crew members to the oldest can construct, configure, build, form, and assemble with all the tools of the trade! Paint and stencil walls, experiment with plumbing pipes and tubes, even see, touch, and crawl on real artifacts from the world of bricks and mortar. The juried festival is an open-air art gallery in a gorgeous foothills setting adjacent to Clear Creek. More than 35,000 people attended the 2007 Golden Fine Arts Festival as it is increasingly well-known for its quality, affordability and ambiance. Hosting 140 high-quality artists, 70 percent of whom are Coloradan and many from as far away as both U.S. coasts, the Festival features a variety of media, including ceramic arts, fiber arts, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture.
There is no admission fee to come enjoy the Festival, which, as always, includes free horse-drawn carriage rides through historic downtown Golden, free musical entertainment, artists’ demonstrations, and a special hands-on Kids Art Zone operated by ArtReach that is always a hit with younger art patrons.
